- Honors Code Program Certificate
PRSA-Detroit is the first local chapter to launch an ethics “Honors Code” program. The program is designed to help keep ethics top-of-mind among members and promote ethics education, as well as provide a tangible representation of members’ pledges to abide by the PRSA Code of Ethics in their communications practice.
Since its March launch, the program has already gained the interest of several PRSA-Detroit members, including Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System and Airfoil Public Relations in Southfield – the first corporate department and PR agency, respectively, to enroll in the program.
Applicants will receive a “toolkit” containing a variety of ethics resources and information that can be reviewed as an individual practitioner or in a group setting within a larger organization.
After the materials have been thoroughly reviewed, participants will have until Sept. 30, 2010 to sign and submit a copy of the PRSA Member Code of Ethics pledge to Hope Brown, APR, Ethics Committee co-chair and director, John Bailey & Associates. Certificates will be presented at the annual chapter meeting in November.
For information or to enroll in the Honors Code program, e-mail Hope Brown at hbrown@baileypr.com
