Are you a PRSA Detroit member interested in pursuing Accreditation in Public Relations (APR)? Maybe you’re interested in continuing education? If so, join us Friday, March 11, 2016 when the chapter begins its Universal Accreditation program with a comprehensive prep session at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library South Branch (35679 South Gratiot, Clinton Township). The session is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The APR designation is the profession’s only national post-graduate certification program. It signifies a high level of skill and competency in the field, builds or enhances fundamental knowledge making you a more skilled practitioner, enhances your approach to project planning and execution, and demonstrates a commitment to professional development to your current and future employer.
Accreditation is recommended for professionals with at least five years of experience in full-time practice or teaching of public relations, and who have earned a bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field or have equivalent work experience. However, any PRSA member in good standing can pursue Accreditation.
