On a quarterly basis, On the Record will post Worth Noting to highlight news and announcements from PRSA Detroit members and their agencies, companies or organizations.  

 

  • Airfoil recently announced the opening of its new headquarters in Royal Oak, Mich., as well as the addition of several new clients. New clientele includes Automotive Broadcasting Network (ABN), BI WORLDWIDE, Duo Security, PSR Associates and Twisthink.
  • Eisbrenner Public Relations recently announced the hiring of Gretchen Klosterman as senior account executive and Angela Jeruzal as account supervisor.
    • Klosterman will manage account teams by providing strategic counsel, developing and executing strategy and managing client projects. She will join the FABTECH, MSX and Robert Bosch LLC client teams. Prior to joining Eisbrenner PR, Klosterman was senior account executive at Fahlgren Mortine, a Columbus, Ohio-based PR agency, and a public relations specialist at Sevrestal North America (now AK Steel) where she worked with automotive and local media.
    • Jeruzal will supervise client account activities, provide strategic counsel and participate in expanding the firm’s capabilities and client portfolio. She will join the Dana Holding Corporation, Magna International, PwC and Röchling account teams. Prior to joining Eisbrenner PR, Jeruzal held high-level communication and marketing positions with several major engineering and architectural firms in Michigan, and provided public relations strategy to clients of two communication agencies based in Metro Detroit.
  • Franco Public Relations Group recently announced the hiring of Mary Parkinson as assistant account executive and Ashley Dupuy as designer.
    • Parkinson will serve a variety of Franco’s health care and nonprofit accounts providing support with media relations and events. Before joining Franco, Parkinson held an internship with Fleishman Hillard in Detroit and gained experience interning with Good Morning America, World News with Diane Sawyer and WXYZ Detroit.
    • DuPuy will provide graphic design services for a variety of Franco accounts and projects. Prior to Franco, DuPuy served as a design coordinator for Porter One Design in Farmington Hills where she focused on rebranding projects for health care clients. She also held internships with Hour Media and AutoWeek where she created layouts for publication.
  • Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A) has been recognized as one of “West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®.”  The 2016 list is determined by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA).
    • Also, Jeff Lambert, founder of Lambert, Edwards & Associates, was recently named the 2015 M&A All Star Consultant of the Year by the Detroit chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He leads the firm’s transaction communications initiatives such as deal closings, fundraising efforts, follow-on investments and internal/external messaging. He was recognized alongside other M&A award winners at the ACG Detroit award ceremony on April 12, 2016 at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Mich.
  • MSLGROUP’s Detroit office has hired four new staff members, promoted four others and moved into a larger, more contemporary office to accommodate current and future growth.
    • Four new team members are supporting the agency’s clients:
      • John Boros, creative director, leads video production and visual storytelling. He comes from John Boros Productions.
      • Laura Markofsky, senior account supervisor, leads a consumer practice group and brings national media relations capabilities. She comes from Civic Entertainment Group in New York City, ranked on PR Newser’s “30 Under 30” PR Professionals list.
      • Tom Rippinger, account supervisor, provides diversity, military and aftermarket communications. He comes from Eisbrenner Public Relations, is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
      • Nicole Schmitz, assistant account executive, supports PR, social and digital media activities. She recently interned with the agency, is a PRSA member.
    • Additionally, MSLGROUP promoted four team members:
      • Lauren Coley to account supervisor from senior account executive.
      • Barry Kluczyk to vice president from senior account supervisor.
      • Colleen Oberc to account executive from assistant account executive.
