Awards

Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest recognition our chapter can bestow. It reflects a practitioner’s significant contribution to the profession as well as to the Southeast Michigan community. APR and retired candidates are given special consideration.

The Hefty Award recognizes a practitioner for his/her long and significant service to the Detroit Chapter.  While APR accreditation is not required, the candidate must be a member of PRSA Detroit.

Those honored with the Nancy Skidmore Award have exemplified distinguished chapter service. Recipients are first and foremost committed to PRSA Detroit’s ensuring strength as a respected and viable institution. He or she has shown long-time dedication and responsibility to the organization and has aided in its consistency to provide quality programming for its members.

Honorees are celebrated at the chapter’s annual meeting.

Nominate a professional today… maybe a trail trailblazer from the Detroit Chapter’s earliest days…or an outstanding executive or mentor from your past…or an impressive and deserving current colleague.

For questions or to nominate a professional for either award, please contact Senior Council Co-Chairs Colleen Robar, APR, [email protected], and/or Pam Young, APR at [email protected].
