Communications Internship

Haven is seeking an enthusiastic communications professional who will be instrumental in increasing HAVEN’s social media presence while providing communications support

  • Work in conjunction with Development department staff to implement the agency’s social media plan
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar
  • Provide regular and timely updates via the agency’s social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Assist in increasing the agency’s social media followers
  • Draft content for the website and agency e-newsletter
  • Maintain the agency website
  • Assist in drafting press releases when appropriate
  • Create and maintain press packets
  • Monitor for and track agency press coverage
  • Maintain open communication with staff
  • Complete and file all paperwork in a timely manner
  • Assist with other projects/events that contribute to the betterment of the agency.10-15 hours per week

Must have some weekday availability, but may work from home some hours. A 2-semester commitment is preferred. Unpaid.
